Hood River, Oregon

June 19, 2010 was my first official day as a Hood River resident and in the last two days I've done more than I usually would have one week in Eugene. It feels good to be back to an active lifestyle. A couple years in Eugene had me going crazy!

Sunday we hit up what was probably the last run of the Upper Wind for the season.

All Smiles!

Monday evening, after a productive day of job hunting and textbook buying, Jesse and I met up with our friend Tim Thornton for a bike ride up at Knebal Springs. The ride is a 9-mile loop with a fairly long 3-pitch climb, followed by the smoothest, tackiest, flowy singletrack descent, and a short but steep climb back up to the car. We didn't see one other person on the trail...

We're off for a paddle this evening! It's so nice to be active again!
